Sitton appears in Superior Court on drug charges

A Hartford, Connecticut man was arraigned this morning in Berkshire Superior Court on drug charges.  37 year old STEPHEN J. SITTON III (172 Adams Street) appeared before Judge John Agostini. 

SITTON had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on one (1) count of POSSESSION OF HEROIN WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE, one (1) count of POSSESSION OF COCAINE WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE, two (2) counts of CONSPIRACY TO VIOLATE DRUG LAWS and one (1) count of BEING PRESENT WHERE HEROIN IS KEPT.  Judge Agostini ordered that he be held at the Berkshire County House of Correction on $10,000 bail.

The charges stem from the execution of a search warrant at 99 Howland Avenue, in Adams, on August 10, 2012. 

The investigation was conducted by members of the Adams, Lanesborough, North Adams and Pittsfield Police Departments and state troopers assigned to the District Attorney’s Office, members of the Berkshire County Drug Task Force.
