Smithies is arraigned in Superior Court

A Pittsfield man was arraigned this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court on several charges.  50 year old TIMOTHY S. SMITHIES appeared before Judge Daniel Ford. 

SMITHIES had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on one (1) count of RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY OVER $250 and one (1) count of OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE WITH A SUSPENDED DRIVERS LICENSE.  Judge Ford ordered that he be held without bail at the Berkshire County House of Correction.      

The charges stem from a motor vehicle stop in Lee on March 12, 2012.    

The investigation was conducted by members of the Lee Police Department.
