Spagnuolo is arraigned on escape and motor vehicle charges
A Pittsfield man was arraigned this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court on numerous charges. 33 year old JAMIE M. SPAGNUOLO appeared before Judge John Agostini.
SPAGNUOLO had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on one (1) count of OPERATING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF DRUGS, one (1) count of OPERATING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL, one (1) count of OPERATING TO ENDANGER, one (1) count of LEAVING THE SCENE OF A PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENT, one (1) count of OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE WITH A SUSPENDED LICENSE, one (1) count of FAILURE TO STOP FOR A POLICE OFFICER, one (1) count of OPERATING AN UNINSURED MOTOR VEHICLE, one (1) count of ATTACHING PLATES TO A MOTOR VEHICLE, one (1) count of SPEEDING, one (1) count of OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE WITHOUT HEADLIGHTS and one (1) count of OPERATING AN UNREGISTERED MOTOR VEHICLE. Those charges stem from a motor vehicle stop in Pittsfield on July 23, 2012.
SPAGNUOLO also had not guilty pleas entered on one (1) count of ESCAPE, one (1) count of BREAKING AND ENTERING A BUILDING IN THE DAYTIME WITH INTENT TO COMMIT A FELONY and two (2) counts of LARCENY UNDER $250 in connection with an alleged escape from Berkshire Medical Center and a break into a home in Pittsfield on July 25, 2012.
Judge Agostini ordered that he be held at the Berkshire County House of Correction on $17,000 cash or $170,000 surety bail.
The investigations were conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department, the Berkshire County Sheriff’s Office and state troopers assigned to the Cheshire barracks.
