Stanton enters not guilty pleas on drug charges

A Pittsfield man was arraigned this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court on a drug charge.  34 year old JARROD R. STANTON appeared before Judge John Agostini. 

STANTON had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on one (1) count of POSSESSION OF HEROIN WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE and one (1) count of CONSPIRACY TO VIOLATE DRUG LAWS, TO WIT: DISTRIBUTION OF HEROIN.  Judge Agostini released him on personal recognizance.    

The charges stem from the execution of a search warrant in New Ashford on October 9, 2012.    

The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department, deputies from the Berkshire County Sheriff’s Office and state troopers assigned to the Berkshire County District Attorney’s Office, members of the Berkshire County Drug Task Force.
