Sweener appears on a conspiracy charge

A Pittsfield man was arraigned this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court on a conspiracy charge.  22 year old JACOB L. SWEENER (22 Meleca Avenue) appeared before Judge John Agostini. 

SWEENER had a not guilty plea entered on his behalf on one (1) count of CONSPIRACY TO VIOLATE DRUG LAWS, TO WIT: DISTRIBUTION OF COCAINE.  Judge Agostini released him on personal recognizance.    

It is alleged that SWEENER conspired with others to sell cocaine in Pittsfield on March 4, 2012.    

The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield, Lenox, Lanesborough, Adams, Great Barrington and Lee Police Departments, the Berkshire County Sheriff’s Department and state troopers assigned to the District Attorney’s Office, members of the Berkshire County Drug Task Force.
