Thomas is arraigned on firearm charges

A Jamaica Plain, New York man was arraigned this morning in Berkshire Superior Court on firearm charges.  23 year old LAMEEK THOMAS a/k/a ISIAH TYREE WEST and SHOWTIME (12102 Sutphin Blvd) appeared before Judge John Agostini. 

THOMAS had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on one (1) count of ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A FIREARM, RIFLE OR SHOTGUN, one (1) count of POSSESSION OF AMMUNITION WITHOUT A FIREARM IDENTIFICATION CARD, one (1) count of IMPROPER STORAGE OF A FIREARM and one (1) count of POSSESSION OF A FIREARM WITH A DEFACED SERIAL NUMBER.  Judge Agostini ordered that he be held at the Berkshire County House of Correction on $10,000 cash or $100,000 surety bail. 

The charges stem from a motor vehicle stop in Pittsfield on July 3, 2012. 

The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department.
