Tree falls, hits man in Lenox

A Sudbury, Massachusetts man has died after being struck by a tree in Lenox.

Investigators say 61 year old LESTER J. HOLTZBLATT had attended the James Taylor concert at Tanglewood and was walking on Richmond Mountain Road when he was struck by a twenty foot section of a dead tree.

The incident was reported to the Lenox Police Department at 10:25 Wednesday evening.  HOLTZBLATT was transported by ambulance to Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield where he was pronounced dead on arrival. 

Investigators are considering the incident to be accidental.  The investigation is being conducted by members of the Lenox Police Department.
