Van Zandt is arraigned on B&E and larceny charges

A Lee man was arraigned this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court on several charges.  30 year old SCOTT A. VAN ZANDT (140 Fox Run) appeared before Judge John Agostini. 

VAN ZANDT had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on one (1) count of BREAKING AND ENTERING A BUILDING IN THE DAYTIME WITH INTENT TO COMMIT A FELONY, one (1) count of LARCENY FROM A BUILDING and one (1) count of LARCENY OVER $250.  Judge Agostini released him on $2,500 bail on the condition he have no contact with the alleged victim.      

It is alleged that VAN ZANDT broke into a building and took approximately $75,000.  The incident is alleged to have occurred in Lee between July 1, 2011 and July 19, 2011.     

The investigation was conducted by members of the Lee Police Department.
