An Adams man was arraigned this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court on several charges.  39 year old JEFFREY S. VIGIARD (15 Spring Street) appeared before Judge Mary Lou Rup. 

VIGIARD had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on one (1) count of AGGRAVATED RAPE, one (1) count of INTIMIDATION OF A WITNESS, one (1) count of BURGLARY ASSAULT ON OCCUPANT, and one (1) count of BREAKING AND ENTERING IN THE NIGHTTIME WITH INTENT TO COMMIT A FELONY.  Judge Rup ordered that he be held at the Berkshire County House of Correction on $1,000,000 cash or surety bail. 

The incidents allegedly occurred in Pittsfield on March 24, 2012. 

The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department.
