Warren pleads guilty, sent to jail

A North Adams man pleaded guilty this morning in Berkshire Superior Court to drug charges.  25 year old MICHAEL L. WARREN a/k/a SCOOP appeared before Judge John Agostini. 

WARREN pleaded guilty to one (1) count of DISTRIBUTION OF COCAINE, one (1) count of POSSESSION OF COCAINE WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE and one (1) count of DRUG VIOLATION WITHIN A DRUG FREE SCHOOL ZONE.  Judge Agostini ordered that he serve concurrent 1 day sentences to the Berkshire County House of Correction on the DISTRIBUTION and POSSESSION WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE charges.  WARREN was also given a 2 year house of correction sentence, to be served on and after the first sentence, on the charge of DRUG VIOLATION WITHIN A DRUG FREE SCHOOL ZONE.   

WARREN sold cocaine in Pittsfield on June 23, 2010 and was in possession of cocaine with the intent to sell in North Adams on August 2, 2011. 

The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield, North Adams and Williamstown Police Departments and state troopers assigned to the District Attorney’s Office, members of the Berkshire County Drug Task Force.
