Whiteley is arraigned in Superior Court

A Pittsfield woman was arraigned this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court.  34 year old KRISTEN M. WHITELEY (107 Tampa Avenue) appeared before Judge John Agostini. 

WHITELEY had a not guilty plea entered on her behalf on one (1) count of ATTEMPT TO COMMIT A CRIME, TO WIT: FRAUDULENTLY OBTAINING A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE.  Judge Agostini released her on personal recognizance.          

It is alleged that WHITELEY attempted to obtain a prescription drug through the use of a fraudulent prescription.  The incident is alleged to have occurred in Pittsfield on August 30, 2011.      

The investigation was conducted by Investigators assigned to the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and Massachusetts State Police assigned to the Diversion Investigative Unit.
