Adams pleads guilty to drug charges, sent to state prison
A Pittsfield man pleaded guilty this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court to a drug charge. 33 year old DEREK L. ADAMS a/k/a D-BOSS and BOSS appeared before Judge C. Jeffrey Kinder.
ADAMS pleaded guilty to one (1) count of TRAFFICKING IN COCAINE, one (1) count of CONSPIRACY TO VIOLATE DRUG LAWS, TO WIT: TRAFFICKING IN COCAINE and one (1) count of CONSPIRACY TO VIOLATE DRUG LAWS, TO WIT: DISTRIBUTION OF COCAINE. Judge Kinder ordered that he serve concurrent 7 to 8 year state prison sentences at the Massachusetts Correctional Institution at Cedar Junction.
ADAMS conspired with others to sell cocaine in Pittsfield on April 11, 2012. The other charges stem from the execution of a search warrant at 39 Prospect Street in Pittsfield on April 19, 2012.
The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield, Adams, Lanesborough, Lee and Great Barrington Police Departments, the Berkshire County Sheriff’s department and state troopers assigned to the District Attorney’s Office, members of the Berkshire County Drug Task Force.
