Andrews has his case continued for one year

A Hinsdale man pleaded guilty this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court to several charges.  46 year old KEVIN W. ANDREWS appeared before Judge C. Jeffrey Kinder. 

ANDREWS pleaded guilty to one (1) count of CONSPIRACY TO VIOLATE DRUG LAWS, TO WIT: UTTERING A FALSE PRESCRIPTION, nine (9) counts of MAKING A FALSE HEALTH CARE CLAIM and nine (9) counts of FRAUDULENTLY OBTAINING A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE.  Judge Kinder continued the case without a finding for 1 year on the condition ANDREWS refrain from using illegal drugs and undergo drug testing.            

ANDREWS conspired with others to obtain prescription drugs and did obtain the drugs through the use of a fraudulent prescription.  The incidents occurred in Pittsfield between March 14, 2011 and August 13, 2011.      

The investigation was conducted by Investigators assigned to the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and Massachusetts State Police assigned to the Diversion Investigative Unit.
