Arnspiger has case continued for five years

A Pittsfield man was sentenced this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court.  24 year old MILES M. ARNSPIGER appeared before Judge John Agostini.

On August 26, 2013, ARNSPIGER admitted to facts sufficient to warrant a guilty finding on one (1) count of BURNING A BUILDING and one (1) count of MAKING A BOMB THREAT CAUSING SERIOUS PUBLIC ALARM.  Judge Agostini continued the case without a finding for 5 years on the condition that ARNSPIGER perform 100 hours of community service work, follow all counseling recommendations outlined in a pre-sentence evaluation and write letters of apology to Canyon Ranch and members of the Lenox Fire Department.

ARNSPIGER, while employed by Canyon Ranch, made a bomb threat and set fire to an outbuilding on the property.  The incidents occurred on May 19, 2012 and August 9, 2012.

The investigation was conducted by members of the Lenox Police Department.
