Bailey sent to jail on drug charges

A Pittsfield man pleaded guilty this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court to drug charges.  23 year old MICHAEL A. BAILEY, JR. a/k/a MIKE A. BAILEY, JR. appeared before Judge John Agostini.

BAILEY pleaded guilty to one (1) count of DISTRIBUTION OF COCAINE, one (1) count of DISTRIBUTION OF MARIJUANA and one (1) count of CONSPIRACY TO VIOLATE DRUG LAWS, TO WIT: DISTRIBUTION OF MARIJUANA.  Judge Agostini ordered that he serve 9 months of an 18 month sentence to the Berkshire County House of Correction on all three counts.  BAILEY was also placed on 1 year probation.    

BAILEY sold cocaine and marijuana and conspired with others to sell marijuana in Pittsfield on December 1, 2011. 

The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department.
