Bannister ordered to pay a fine on a conspiracy charge

An Adams man pleaded guilty this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court to a conspiracy charge.  26 year old MICHAEL L. BANNISTER appeared before Judge Daniel Ford. 

BANNISTER pleaded guilty to one (1) count of CONSPIRACY TO VIOLATE DRUG LAWS.   Judge Ford ordered him to pay a $500 fine.    

The incident occurred in Adams between November 1, 2010 and November 25, 2010.  

Two (2) counts of DISTRIBUTION OF OXYCODONE and two (2) counts of DRUG VIOLATION WITHIN A DRUG FREE SCHOOL ZONE were dismissed at the request of the Commonwealth. 

The investigation was conducted by members of the North Adams and Adams Police Departments and state troopers assigned to the District Attorney’s Office, members of the Berkshire County Drug Task Force.
