Baptiste enters not guilty pleas in Superior Court

A Boston man was arraigned this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court on several charges.  21 year old BERTHONY JEAN BAPTISTE (444 Harrison Avenue) appeared before Judge John Agostini.

BAPTISTE had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on one (1) count of ASSAULT AND BATTERY BY MEANS OF A DANGEROUS WEAPON, one (1) count of ARMED ASSAULT WITH INTENT TO ROB and one (1) count of LARCENY OVER $250.  Judge Agostini ordered that he be held at the Berkshire County House of Correction on $50,000 cash or $500,000 surety bail.      

It is alleged that BAPTISTE attempted to rob a Taxi driver in the vicinity of Brayton Hill Terrace, in North Adams, on September 9, 2013. 

The investigation was conducted by members of the North Adams Police Department.
