Bliss pleads guilty to drug charges, sent to jail
A Pittsfield woman pleaded guilty this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court to a drug charge. 29 year old SHANNON M. BLISS appeared before Judge John Agostini.
BLISS pleaded guilty to one (1) count of POSSESSION OF COCAINE WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE and one (1) count of CONSPIRACY TO VIOLATE DRUG LAWS, TO WIT: POSSESSION OF COCAINE WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE. Judge Agostini ordered that she serve 18 months of a 2 and a half year sentence at the Berkshire County House of Correction on the charge of POSSESSION OF COCAINE WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE. BLISS was also placed on 2 years probation. She was given a concurrent 6 month house of correction sentence on the CONSPIRACY charge.
The charges stem from the execution of a search warrant at 39 Prospect Street on April 19, 2012.
The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield, Adams, Lanesborough, Lee and Great Barrington Police Departments, the Berkshire County Sheriff’s Department and state troopers assigned to the District Attorney’s Office, members of the Berkshire County Drug Task Force.
