Davis enters not guilty pleas on drug and firearm charges
A Pittsfield man was arraigned this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court on drug and firearm charges. 40 year old NISHEEN E. DAVIS (46 Memorial Drive) appeared before Judge C. Jeffrey Kinder.
DAVIS had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on one (1) count of TRAFFICKING IN OXYCODONE, one (1) count of CONSPIRACY TO VIOLATE DRUG LAWS, one (1) count of POSSESSION OF A FIREARM DURING THE COMMISSION OF A FELONY, one (1) count of ILLEGAL OWNERSHIP OF A FIREARM, RIFLE OR SHOTGUN and one (1) count of POSSESSION OF AMMUNITION WITHOUT A FIREARM IDENTIFICATION CARD. Judge Kinder ordered that he be held at the Berkshire County House of Correction on $5,000 cash or $50,000 surety bail.
The charges stem from a motor vehicle stop and the execution of a search warrant at 46 Memorial Drive on May 8, 2013.
The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department, Berkshire County Sheriff’s deputies and state troopers assigned to the District Attorney’s Office, members of the Berkshire County Drug Task Force.
