Desnoyers is arraigned on armed robbery and other charges

A Pittsfield man was arraigned this morning in Berkshire Superior Court on armed robbery and other charges.  22 year old JOSHUA D. DESNOYERS (10 Cloverdale Street) appeared before Judge John Agostini. 

DESNOYERS had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on one (1) count of ARMED ROBBERY WHILE MASKED, two (2) counts of ASSAULT AND BATTERY BY MEANS OF A DANGEROUS WEAPON, one (1) count of RESISTING ARREST and two (2) counts of ASSAULT AND BATTERY.  Judge Agostini ordered that he be held at the Berkshire County House of Correction on $10,000 cash or $100,000 surety bail on the condition DESNOYERS have no contact with the alleged victims. 

It is alleged that DESNOYERS used a pit bull to take a backpack from a 22 year old male.  A 30 year old man was allegedly assaulted during the robbery.  The incident is alleged to have taken place in Pittsfield on September 27, 2013.    

The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department.
