DiLorenzo pleads guilty, sent to jail and placed on probation

A Lanesborough man pleaded guilty this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court to several charges.  20 year old FRANK DILORENZO III (75 Meadow Lane) appeared before Judge John Agostini. 

DILORENZO pleaded guilty to two (2) counts of ASSAULT AND BATTERY BY MEANS OF A DANGEROUS WEAPON, three (3) counts of ASSAULT BY MEANS OF A DANGEROUS WEAPON and one (1) count of ASSAULT AND BATTERY.   Judge Agostini ordered that he serve a 2 year sentence at the Berkshire County House of Correction on the ASSAULT AND BATTERY charge.  DILORENZO was placed on 5 years probation on the other charges on the condition he have no contact with the victim, remain drug and alcohol free, undergo drug and alcohol testing, abide by provisions of a restraining order and attend a domestic violence program during the probationary period.   

The incident occurred in Lanesborough between January 15, 2013 and January 18, 2013 and involved a 19 year old woman.  

One (1) count of KIDNAPPING was dismissed at the request of the Commonwealth. 

The investigation was conducted by members of the Lanesborough Police Department.
