Eyzaiya Moody is arraigned on drug and other charges
A Pittsfield man was arraigned this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court on several charges. 29 year old EYZAIYA D. MOODY a/k/a EYZIAYA MOODY (74 Stratford Avenue) appeared before Judge Daniel Ford
MOODY had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on one (1) count of POSSESSION OF COCAINE WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE (2nd offense), one (1) count of DRUG VIOLATION WITHIN A DRUG FREE SCHOOL ZONE, one (1) count of ASSAULT AND BATTERY BY MEANS OF A DANGEROUS WEAPON, one (1) count of ASSAULT AND BATTERY ON A PUBLIC EMPLOYEE, one (1) count of OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE WITH A SUSPENDED LICENSE (2nd offense), one (1) count of NEGLIGENT OPERATION OF A MOTOR VEHICLE and one (1) count of FAILURE TO STOP FOR A POLICE OFFICER. Judge Ford ordered that he be held at the Berkshire County House of Correction on $25,000 cash or $250,000 surety bail.
The charges stem from a motor vehicle chase in Pittsfield on January 4, 2013.
The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department and state troopers assigned to the District Attorney’s Office, members of the Berkshire County Drug Task Force.
