Foley appears in Court on child sexual assault charges

A Lanesborough man was arraigned this morning in Berkshire Superior Court on sexual assault charges.  18 year old CHAD FOLEY (20 Irvin Street) appeared before Judge John Agostini. 

FOLEY had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on one (1) count of RAPE AND ABUSE OF A CHILD: NO FORCE and one (1) count of INDECENT ASSAULT AND BATTERY ON A CHILD UNDER 14.  Judge Agostini released him on personal recognizance on the condition FOLEY have no contact with the alleged victim. 

The incidents are alleged to have occurred in Pittsfield between August 1, 2012 and August 5, 2012 and involved a girl who is 13 years of age.

The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department.
