Gamari sent to jail on sexual assault charges

A Clarksburg man pleaded guilty this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court to sexual assault charges.  20 year old NOLAN R. GAMARI appeared before Judge Daniel Ford. 

GAMARI pleaded guilty to four (4) counts of RAPE AND ABUSE OF A CHILD: NO FORCE and one (1) count of INDECENT ASSAULT AND BATTERY ON A CHILD UNDER 14.  Judge Ford ordered that he serve 2 and a half years at the Berkshire County House of Correction on the first count of RAPE AND ABUSE OF A CHILD: NO FORCE.  On two (2) counts of RAPE AND ABUSE OF A CHILD: NO FORCE and one (1) count of INDECENT ASSAULT AND BATTERY ON A CHILD UNDER 14, GAMARI was ordered to serve 1 year of a 2 and a half year sentence.  That sentence will be served on and after the first sentence.  GAMARI was placed on 3 years probation with the condition he undergo counseling during the probationary period the fourth count of RAPE AND ABUSE OF A CHILD: NO FORCE.

The charges stem from an incident in Clarksburg on February 12, 2012 and involved a girl who is now 14 years of age. 

Two (2) counts of RAPE AND ABUSE OF A CHILD: NO FORCE and one (1) count of ENTICING A CHILD UNDER THE AGE OF 16 were dismissed at the request of the Commonwealth.

The investigation was conducted by state police detectives assigned to the District Attorney’s Office. 

(Note: GAMARI will have to serve 3 and a half years at the House of Correction.)
