Harrison pleads guilty to elder abuse, sent to jail
A Pittsfield man pleaded guilty this morning in Berkshire Superior Court to several charges. 44 year old CHRISTOPHER A. HARRISON appeared before Judge John Agostini.
HARRISON pleaded guilty to one (1) count of CARETAKER ABUSE OR NEGLECT OF AN ELDER and one (1) count of THREAT TO COMMIT A CRIME, TO WIT: MURDER. Judge Agostini ordered that he serve 18 months of a 2 and half year sentence at the Berkshire County House of Correction and placed on 2 years probation on the condition he refrain from using illegal drugs and alcohol and undergo testing and counseling during the probationary period on the CARETAKER ABUSE OR NEGLECT OF AN ELDER charge. HARRISON was also given concurrent 2 years probation on the other charge.
HARRISON failed to take care of a 67 year old woman. The incident occurred between January 1, 2012 and February 22, 2013. He also threatened to murder a 41 year old woman between January 1, 2013 and February 22, 2013. Both incidents occurred in Pittsfield.
The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department.
