Harvin is arraigned in Superior Court on drug and firearm charges

A Bronx, New York man was arraigned this morning in Berkshire Superior Court on firearm and other charges.  37 year old ERNEST A. HARVIN (1791 Bruckner Road) appeared before Judge John Agostini. 

HARVIN had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on one (1) count of POSSESSION OF HEROIN WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE, one (1) count of POSSESSION OF A FIREARM DURING THE COMMISSION OF A FELONY, one (1) count of RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY OVER $250, one (1) count of ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A LARGE CAPACITY WEAPON OR FEEDING DEVICE, one (1) count of ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A FIREARM, one (1) count of ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A LOADED FIREARM, one (1) count of POSSESSION OF AMMUNITION WITHOUT A FIREARM IDENTIFICATION CARD, one (1) count of IMPROPER STORAGE OF A FIREARM, one (1) count of UNLICENSED OPERATION OF A MOTOR VEHICLE, one (1) count of FAILURE TO STOP FOR A POLICE OFFICER and one (1) count of OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE WITHOUT AN INSPECTION STICKER.   Judge Agostini ordered that he be held at the Berkshire County House of Correction on $500,000 cash or $5,000,000 surety bail. 

The charges stem from a motor vehicle stop in Williamstown on September 5, 2013.    

The investigation was conducted by members of the Berkshire County Drug Task Force.
