Holloway enters not guilty pleas on firearm charges

A Pittsfield man was arraigned this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court on firearm charges.  20 year old JAMAR L. HOLLOWAY (20 Dalton Avenue) appeared before Judge John Agostini.

HOLLOWAY had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on one (1) count of ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A FIREARM, RIFLE OR SHOTGUN, one (1) count of POSSESSION OF AMMUNITION WITHOUT A FIREARM IDENTIFICATION CARD and one (1) count of IMPROPER STORAGE OF A FIREARM.  Judge Agostini ordered that he be held at the Berkshire County House of Correction on $2,500 cash or $25,000 surety bail.

The charges stem from an investigation into a call reporting shots fired in the area of Columbus and Circular Avenues in Pittsfield on August 19, 2013.

The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department.
