Hudson pleads guilty to drug charges, sent to jail
A Pittsfield man pleaded guilty this morning in Berkshire Superior Court to several charges. 46 year old SADOWELL L. HUDSON a/k/a SADDWELL L. HUDSON appeared before Judge John Agostini.
HUDSON pleaded guilty to one (1) count of POSSESSION OF COCAINE WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE (2nd offense) and one (1) count of CONSPIRACY TO VIOLATE DRUG LAWS, TO WIT: POSSESSION OF COCAINE WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE. Judge Agostini ordered that he serve a 2 year sentence at the Berkshire County House of Correction on the charge of POSSESSION OF COCAINE WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE (2nd offense). HUDSON was also given a 2 year house of correction sentence, to be served on and after the first sentence, on the CONSPIRACY charge.
HUDSON admitted that he conspired with others to distribute cocaine in Pittsfield. The incident occurred between September 1, 2012 and September 19, 2012. The POSSESSION OF COCAINE WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE (2nd offense) charge stems from the execution of a search warrant at 255 Columbus Avenue in Pittsfield on September 19, 2012.
The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield, Lanesborough and Great Barrington Police Departments, the Berkshire County Sheriff’s Department and state troopers assigned to the District Attorney’s Office, members of the Berkshire County Drug Task Force.
(Note: HUDSON will serve a 4 year sentence at the Berkshire County House of Correction.)
