Irvis pleads guilty to firearm charges

A Pittsfield man pleaded guilty this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court to firearms charges.  24 year old BAYSHAWN IRVIS appeared before Judge John Agostini. 

IRVIS pleaded guilty to one (1) count ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A FIREARM, RIFLE OR SHOTGUN, one (1) count of ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A LOADED FIREARM and one (1) count of VIOLATION OF A FIREARM SURRENDER ORDER in connection with an incident which occurred in Pittsfield on February 10, 2013. 

Judge Agostini ordered that IRVIS serve concurrent 2 year sentences at the Berkshire County House of Correction on the charges of ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A FIREARM and VIOLATION OF A FIREARM SURRENDER ORDER.  He was placed on 2 years probation on the ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A LOADED FIREARM charge.   

The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department.
