James Cantarella enters not guilty pleas
A Pittsfield man was arraigned this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court on several charges. 28 year old JAMES E. CANTARELLA (82 Lafayette Street) appeared before Judge John Agostini.
CANTARELLA had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on one (1) count of ATTEMPT TO COMMIT A CRIME, TO WIT: ARMED ROBBERY and one (1) count of CONSPIRACY TO COMMIT ARMED ROBBERY in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred in Pittsfield on March 16, 2013.
CANTARELLA also had a not guilty plea entered on one (1) count of CONSPIRACY TO VIOLATE DRUG LAWS, TO WIT: DISTRIBUTION OF OXYCODONE. It is alleged he conspired with others to sell the drug between March 3, 2013 and April 30, 2013.
Judge Agostini released CANTARELLA on personal recognizance.
The investigations were conducted by members of the Berkshire County Drug Task Force.
