Jones pleads guilty, sent to jail

An Ashley Falls man pleaded guilty this morning in Berkshire Superior Court.  37 year old JOHN C. JONES appeared before Judge John Agostini.

JONES pleaded guilty to one (1) count of LARCENY, ONGOING AND CONTINUING OFFENSE and one (1) count of MAKING FALSE ENTRIES INTO CORPORATE BOOKS.  Judge Agostini ordered him to serve a 2 year sentence at the Berkshire County House of Correction on the charge of LARCENY, ONGOING AND CONTINUING OFFENSE.  JONES was also given a concurrent 1 year jail sentence on the other charge.   

 JONES, while employed at Kenver Limited in Egremont, took approximately $65,000 between November 1, 2010 and February 11, 2012.    

The investigation was conducted by members of the Egremont Police Department.
