Laprise pleads guilty to drug and conspiracy charges

A North Adams man pleaded guilty this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court to drug charges.  37 year old MICHAEL P. LAPRISE appeared before Judge Daniel Ford. 

LAPRISE pleaded guilty to one (1) count of DISTRIBUTION OF OXYCODONE and one (1) count of CONSPIRACY TO VIOLATE DRUG LAWS.   Judge Ford gave him a 1 year suspended sentence at the Berkshire County House of Correction and placed LAPRISE on 1 year probation on the condition he remain drug free and undergo testing during the probationary period.    

The incidents occurred in North Adams between November 1, 2010 and November 25, 2010.  

The investigation was conducted by members of the North Adams and Adams Police Departments and state troopers assigned to the District Attorney’s Office, members of the Berkshire County Drug Task Force.
