Lemaire pleads guilty, sent to jail on drug charges

A North Adams woman pleaded guilty this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court to drug charges.  23 year old EDEN J. LEMAIRE appeared before Judge John Agostini. 

LEMAIRE pleaded guilty to one (1) count of POSSESSION OF OXYCONTIN WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE, one (1) count of CONSPIRACY TO VIOLATE DRUG LAWS, one (1) count of POSSESSION OF NALOXONE AND BUPRENOPRPHIONE and one (1) count of POSSESSION OF ECSTACY.  Judge Agostini ordered her to serve 9 months of a 2 year sentence at the Berkshire County House of Correction on the charges of POSSESSION OF OXYCONTIN WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE and CONSPIRACY TO VIOLATE DRUG LAWS.  LEMAIRE was also placed on 1 year probation on the condition she refrain from using illegal drugs and alcohol and undergo testing and substance abuse counseling during the probationary period.  Judge Agostini imposed 9 month concurrent jail sentences on the other charges.        

The charges stem from the execution of a search warrant at the Willows Motel in Williamstown on April 2, 2010.

One (1) count of CONSPIRACY TO VIOLATE DRUG LAWS was dismissed at the request of the Commonwealth. 

The investigation was conducted by members of the Adams, North Adams and Williamstown Police Departments and state troopers assigned to the District Attorney’s Office, members of the Berkshire County Drug Task Force.
