Marino pleads guilty to drug and conspiracy charges
An Adams woman pleaded guilty this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court to a drug charge. 25 year old JESSICA L. MARINO appeared before Judge John Agostini.
MARINO pleaded guilty to one (1) count of POSSESSION OF HEROIN WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE and one (1) count of CONSPIRACY TO VIOLATE DRUG LAWS, TO WIT: POSSESSION OF HEROIN WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE. Judge Agostini ordered her to serve a 36 day sentence at the Berkshire County House of Correction on the POSSESSION OF HEROIN WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE chare. MARINO had the charge of CONSPIRACY TO VIOLATE DRUG LAWS, TO WIT: POSSESSION OF HEROIN WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE continued without a finding for 6 months. During that time she is to refrain from using illegal drugs, undergo testing and counseling, live with her uncle and report to the probation office once a week.
The charges stem from the execution of a search warrant at 27 Spring Street in Adams on March 13, 2012.
The investigation was conducted by members of the Adams and North Adams Police Departments, the Berkshire County Sheriff’s Department and state troopers assigned to the District Attorney’s Office, members of the Berkshire County Drug Task Force.
