Martin sent to prison on drug and conspiracy charges
An Englewood, New Jersey man who pleaded guilty on November 7, 2012 was sentenced this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court. 29 year old MARTINI MARTIN appeared before Judge John Agostini.
MARTIN pleaded guilty to two (2) counts of POSSESSION OF OXYCONTIN WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE and two (2) counts of CONSPIRACY TO VIOLATE DRUG LAWS, TO WIT: POSSESSION OF OXYCONTIN WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE. Judge Agostini ordered him to serve concurrent 3 to 5 year state prison sentences at the Massachusetts Correctional Institution at Cedar Junction.
MARTIN possessed oxycontin with the intent to sell the drug and conspired with others to sell oxycontin between April 2, 2010 and May 6, 2010.
The investigation was conducted by members of the Adams, North Adams and Williamstown Police Departments and state troopers assigned to the District Attorney’s Office, members of the Berkshire County Drug Task Force.
