Podavini sentenced to state prison

A Pittsfield man, found guilty Wednesday, was sentenced this morning in Berkshire Superior Court.  The jury deliberated for about 2 hours before returning its verdict against 42 year old BRIAN K. PODAVINI. 

PODAVINI was found guilty on one (1) count INTIMIDATION OF A WITNESS OR OTHER PERSON.  Judge Ford ordered that he serve a 2 to 3 year state prison sentence at the Massachusetts Correctional Institution at Cedar Junction. 

The incident occurred in Pittsfield on September 25, 2011 and involved a 25 year old man.

The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department.
