Sarikcioglu enters not guilty pleas in Superior Court

A Pittsfield man was arraigned this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court on several charges.  28 year old RECEP SARIKCIOGLU (58 Hull Avenue) appeared before Judge John Agostini.

SARIKCIOGLU had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on one (1) count of ASSAULT AND BATTERY BY MEANS OF A DANGEROUS WEAPON, one (1) count of ASSAULT AND BATTERY, four (4) counts of INTIMIDATION OF A WITNESS OR OTHER PERSON, two (2) counts of VIOLATION OF A RESTRAINING ORDER and two (2) counts of SOLICITING TO COMMIT A FELONY.   Judge Agostini ordered that he be held at the Berkshire County House of Correction without the right to bail pending a dangerousness hearing on Wednesday.

It is alleged that SARIKCIOGLU assaulted a 27 year old woman in Pittsfield, violated a restraining order and solicited another to commit murder and arson between May 13, 2013 and June 30, 2013.

The investigations were conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department and state police detectives assigned to the District Attorney’s Office.
