Sawtelle enters not guilty pleas on B&E charges

A Dalton man was arraigned this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court on breaking and entering charges.  23 year old JAKE E. SAWTELLE (230 High Street) appeared before Judge Daniel Ford. 

SAWTELLE had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on five (5) counts of BREAKING AND ENTERING IN THE DAYTIME WITH INTENT TO COMMIT A FELONY and one (1) count of LARCENY OF A FIREARM.  Judge Ford ordered that he be held at the Berkshire County House of Correction on $2,500 cash or $25,000 surety bail. 

It is alleged that SAWTELLE broke into homes in Becket, Lanesborough and Richmond between February 18, 2013 and March 6, 2013.     

The investigation was conducted members of the Lanesborough Police Department and state troopers assigned to the Lee barracks.
