Shepard pleads guilty, sent to jail

A Pittsfield woman pleaded guilty this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court.  48 year old JANINE SHEPARD appeared before Judge John Agostini. 

SHEPARD pleaded guilty to one (1) count of LARCENY OVER $250 and one (1) count of MAKING FALSE ENTRIES INTO CORPORATE RECORDS.  Judge Agostini ordered that she serve 2 years at the Berkshire County House of Correction on the charge of LARCENY OVER $250.  SHEPARD was given a 1 year house of correction sentence, to be served after the first sentence, on the MAKING FALSE ENTRIES INTO CORPORATE RECORDS charge.    

SHEPARD, while employed at Greylock Federal Credit Union, took approximately $200,000.  The incident occurred in Pittsfield between January 1, 2010 and February 18, 2012. 

The investigation was conducted by state police detectives assigned to the District Attorney’s Office.   

      (SHEPARD will serve 3 years in the House of Correction.)
