Smith has her case continued for two years

A Dalton woman appeared in Berkshire Superior Court this afternoon.  36 year old JENNIFER SMITH appeared before Judge John Agostini. 

SMITH had one (1) count of RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT OF A CHILD continued without a change of plea for 2 years.  During that time Judge Agostini ordered that SMITH go to the Breen Center for an evaluation and aftercare or continue to see a therapist.      

SMITH was aware of allegations of child sexual assault and failed to report them to authorities.  The incidents occurred in Richmond between January 1, 2004 and June 5, 2010.    

The investigation was conducted by state police detectives assigned to the District Attorney’s Office.
