Sweeney is arraigned on armed robbery and other charges

A Pittsfield woman was arraigned this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court on several charges.  28 year old SARINA J. SWEENEY (22 Wallace Street) appeared before Judge Daniel Ford. 

SWEENEY had not guilty pleas entered on her behalf on one (1) count of ARMED ROBBERY WHILE MASKED, one (1) count of ARMED ASSAULT WITH INTENT TO ROB, one (1) count of POSSESSION OF A FIREARM DURING THE COMMISSION OF A FELONY, one (1) count of ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A FIREARM, RIFLE OR SHOTGUN, one (1) count of ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A LARGE CAPACITY WEAPON, one (1) count of ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A LARGE CAPACITY FEEDING DEVICE, one (1) count of ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A LOADED FIREARM, one (1) count of ASSAULT AND BATTERY BY MEANS OF A DANGEROUS WEAPON, one (1) count of BREAKING AND ENTERING IN THE NIGHTTIME WITH INTENT TO COMMIT A FELONY and one (1) count of LARCENY UNDER $250.  Judge Ford released her on personal recognizance on the condition SWEENEY have no contact with the alleged victims.   

The incident is alleged to have occurred in Pittsfield on January 25, 2013 and involved a 30 year old woman and a 35 year old man. 

The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department.
