Thomas is sent to jail on firearm charges
A Jamaica Plain, New York man pleaded guilty this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court to firearm charges. 24 year old LAMEEK THOMAS a/k/a ISIAH TYREE WEST and SHOWTIME appeared before Judge C. Jeffrey Kinder.
THOMAS pleaded guilty to one (1) count of ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A FIREARM, RIFLE OR SHOTGUN, one (1) count of POSSESSION OF AMMUNITION WITHOUT A FIREARM IDENTIFICATION CARD, one (1) count of IMPROPER STORAGE OF A FIREARM and one (1) count of POSSESSION OF A FIREARM WITH A DEFACED SERIAL NUMBER. Judge Kinder ordered him to serve concurrent 18 month sentences at the Berkshire County House of Correction on the charges of ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A FIREARM, RIFLE OR SHOTGUN and POSSESSION OF AMMUNITION WITHOUT A FIREARM IDENTIFICATION CARD. THOMAS was given concurrent jail time on the other charges.
The charges stem from a motor vehicle stop in Pittsfield on July 3, 2012.
The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department.
