Thomas pleads guilty, placed on probation

A Pittsfield man pleaded guilty this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court to a conspiracy charge.  53 year old DONALD E. THOMAS appeared before Judge Daniel Ford. 

THOMAS pleaded guilty to one (1) count of CONSPIRACY TO VIOLATE DRUG LAWS, TO WIT: DISTRIBUTION OF COCAINE.  Judge Ford placed him on 6 months’ probation on the condition THOMAS remain drug free and undergo random drug testing during the probationary period. 

The charge stems from an incident that occurred in Pittsfield on May 5, 2011. 

One (1) count of POSSESSION OF COCAINE was dismissed at the request of the Commonwealth. 

The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield, North Adams, Williamstown, Adams, Dalton, Lee, Lenox, Great Barrington and Stockbridge Police Departments, state troopers assigned to the District Attorney’s Office and agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, members of the Berkshire County Drug Task Force.
