White pleads guilty to numerous B&E’s, sentencing next week

A Pittsfield man pleaded guilty this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court to several charges.  25 year old CHRISTOPHER M. WHITE appeared before Judge C. Jeffrey Kinder. 

WHITE pleaded guilty to five (5) counts of BREAKING AND ENTERING IN THE DAYTIME WITH INTENT TO COMMIT A FELONY, one (1) count of BREAKING AND ENTERING IN THE DAYTIME WITH INTENT TO COMMIT A FELONY, PLACING A PERSON IN FEAR, one (1) count of ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A FIREARM, RIFLE OR SHOTGUN, one (1) count of LARCENY OF A FIREARM, one (1) count of VANDALIZE PROPERTY, five (5) counts of LARCENY FROM A BUILDING, one (1) count of LARCENY OVER $250 and one (1) count of COMMON AND NOTORIOUS THIEF.  Judge Kinder released him on personal recognizance pending sentencing which will occur on Friday, May 17th at 9 a.m.      

WHITE broke into houses in Hancock, Hinsdale, Richmond, Dalton and Washington between September 7, 2011 and January 30, 2012. 

One (1) count of BREAKING AND ENTERING IN THE DAYTIME WITH INTENT TO COMMIT A FELONY, one (1) count of LARCENY IN A BUILDING, two (2) counts of MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PERSONAL PROPERTY OVER $250 and one (1) count of VANDALIZE PROPERTY were dismissed at the request of the Commonwealth. 

The investigation was conducted by members of the Hinsdale and Dalton Police Departments and state troopers assigned to the Cheshire and Lee barracks.
