Yon is sent to prison on armed robbery and other charges

A Pittsfield man pleaded guilty this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court to several charges.  25 year old RYAN G. YON appeared before Judge John Agostini. 

YON pleaded guilty to one (1) count of ARMED ROBBERY.  Those charges stem from the armed robbery of Angelina’s Submarine Shop on Wahconah Street, in Pittsfield, on November 1, 2011. 

YON also pleaded guilty to one (1) count of BREAKING AND ENTERING A MOTOR VEHICLE IN THE NIGHTTIME WITH INTENT TO COMMIT A FELONY, one (1) count of LARCENY OVER $250 and one (1) count of CONSPIRACY TO COMMIT LARCENY OVER $250 in connection with an incident in Pittsfield on July 20, 2011.    

Judge Agostini ordered YON to serve concurrent 4 to 6 year state prison sentences at the Massachusetts Correctional Institution at Cedar Junction on the ARMED ROBBERY, BREAKING AND ENTERING A MOTOR VEHICLE IN THE NIGHTTIME WITH INTENT TO COMMIT A FELONY, LARCENY OVER $250 and CONSPIRACY TO COMMIT LARCENY OVER $250  charges.     

One (1) count of POSSESSION OF HEROIN was dismissed at the request of the Commonwealth. 

The investigations were conducted by members of the Pittsfield and Lee Police Departments.
