Allen is sent to state prison on armed robbery and other charges

A Waterbury, Connecticut man, found guilty on January 16th, was sentenced this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court.  The jury deliberated for about an hour before returning its verdict against 22 year old DEON A. ALLEN a/k/a ACE.  

ALLEN was found guilty on one (1) count of ARMED ROBBERY, one (1) count of ASSAULT AND BATTERY BY MEANS OF A DANGEROUS WEAPON and one (1) count of INTIMIDATION OF A WITNESS OR OTHER PERSON in connection with an incident in Great Barrington, involving a 26 year old man, on September 15, 2012. 

Judge Daniel Ford ordered that ALLEN serve concurrent 5 to 7 year sentences at the Massachusetts Correctional Institution at Cedar Junction on the charges of ARMED ROBBERY and ASSAULT AND BATTERY BY MEANS OF A DANGEROUS WEAPON.   He was also given a concurrent 2 to 3 year state prison sentence on the INTIMIDATION charge. 

The investigation was conducted by members of the Great Barrington Police Department. 

(Note: ALLEN will serve 5 to 7 years in state prison.)
