Calautti enters not guilty pleas in Superior Court
A Windsor man was arraigned this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court on several charges. 28 year old MATTHEW J. CALAUTTI (1775 Old Route 9) appeared before Judge Daniel Ford.
CALAUTTI had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on one (1) count of ARMED ASSAULT WITH INTENT TO ROB and one (1) count of ASSAULT BY MEANS OF A DANGEROUS WEAPON. Judge Ford ordered that he be held at the Berkshire County House of Correction on $5,000 cash or $50,000 surety bail.
The charges stem from an attempt to take money from an employee at the Subway shop on Tyler Street in Pittsfield on January 3, 2014.
The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department.
