Camacho is arraigned on charges stemming from a motor vehicle stop
A Manhattan, New York man was arraigned this morning in Berkshire Superior Court on drug and other charges. 27 year old ARIEL CAMACHO appeared before Judge John Agostini.
CAMACHO had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on one (1) count of TRAFFICKING IN OXYCODONE, one (1) count of DISTRIBUTION OF COCAINE (2nd offense), two (2) counts of CONSPIRACY TO VIOLATE DRUG LAWS, one (1) count of BEING PRESENT WHERE HEROIN IS KEPT, one (1) count of POSSESSION OF HEROIN, one (1) count of RESISTING ARREST, one (1) count of FAILURE TO STOP FOR A POLICE OFFICER, one (1) count of RECKLESS OPERATION OF A MOTOR VEHICLE, one (1) count of UNLICENSED OPERATION OF A MOTOR VEHICLE and one (1) count of FURNISHING A FALSE NAME TO A POLICE OFFICER. Judge Agostini ordered that he be held at the Berkshire County House of Correction on $50,000 cash or $500,000 surety bail.
The charges stem from a motor vehicle stop in North Adams on February 21, 2014.
The investigation was conducted by members of the North Adams Police Department.
