Ebling found guilty, will be sentenced tomorrow

A Pittsfield man was found guilty this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court on several charges.  The jury deliberated for about 3 hours before returning its verdict against 34 year old TERRENCE F. EBLING, JR.  

EBLING was found guilty on one (1) count of LEAVING THE SCENE OF A PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENT and one (1) count of OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE WITH A SUSPENDED LICENSE.  Following the Jury verdict EBLING admitted to a prior OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE WITH A SUSPENDED LICENSE conviction.  He will be sentenced on the charge of OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE WITH A SUSPENDED LICENSE (2nd offense).  Judge John Agostini ordered that he be held at the Berkshire County House of Correction without the right to bail pending sentencing which will occur tomorrow at 9 a.m.  

The incident occurred in Pittsfield on August 28, 2013. 

The jury found EBLING not guilty on one (1) count of OPERATING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL.  He had been charged with OPERATING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL (3rd offense).      

The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department.
