Ebling will spend 2 years in jail

A Pittsfield man, found guilty Wednesday, was sentenced this morning in Berkshire Superior Court.  The jury deliberated for about 3 hours before returning its verdict against 34 year old TERRENCE F. EBLING, JR.  

EBLING was found guilty on one (1) count of LEAVING THE SCENE OF A PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENT and one (1) count of OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE WITH A SUSPENDED LICENSE.  Following the Jury verdict EBLING admitted to a prior OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE WITH A SUSPENDED LICENSE conviction.  He will be sentenced on the charge of OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE WITH A SUSPENDED LICENSE (2nd offense).  Judge John Agostini ordered that he serve a 2 year sentence at the Berkshire County House of Correction on the charge of LEAVING THE SCENE OF A PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENT.  EBLING was given a concurrent 1 year sentence on the OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE WITH A SUSPENDED LICENSE (2nd offense) charge.    

The incident occurred in Pittsfield on August 28, 2013. 

The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department.
